Operations Manager

Plasticraft Molds, Inc. is searching for an Operations Manager to run and schedule jobs, manage all employees and run the day to day operations. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years experience in building plastic injection molds, knowledge of 3D modeling software and 2 years management experience. Ideal candidate will poses the following:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Be fluent in Microsoft Office, Wire EDM software and 3D modeling software for tool designing and manufacturing,
  • Ability to schedule incoming and current tool workload and meet or exceed expected delivery dates.
  • Efficiently schedule outsourcing of components and materials.
  • Schedule and hold weekly meeting with key employees to update work schedule, weekly expectations and last weeks goals/failures.
  • Implement corrective action for mistakes and/or failures.
  • Ensure tools are manufactured to Plasticraft standards and manufactured to meet or exceed quoted time.
  • Work with tool designer and lead programmer on designing of new tools and engineering changes.
  • Introduce any new techniques to aide in the design and/or manufacturing of tools.
  • Work with customers during tool designs and engineering changes.
  • Work with customers at times when new tooling and engineering changes are needed to be quoted.
  • Knowledge of current tool building techniques of hi-speed roughing, finishing and wire EDM.
  • Train employees/apprentices if needed to maintain timely and correct manufacturing and assembly of tools.
  • Maintain full work capacity of all employees and have full knowledge of their abilities and your expectations.
  • Keep order and acknowledge any employee not following their expected work duties.
  • Maintain utmost cleanliness in your office and in the shop.
  • Update website with changes/additions and any new information that would be pertinent to keeping current customers informed and/or acquiring new customers.

Plasticraft Molds, Inc. strictly designs and builds plastic injection and compression molds. We have been a growing company since its start in 2006 and have maintained an average 30% annual growth. We have recently moved into a brand new 12,000 sq. foot facility that we designed and built from the ground up to better serve our customers and ourselves. We currently have 12 employees and are setting up the structure to have the ability to keep pace with our current growth. The new manager will have a key role in making this successful.
